Pulled out your winter woollies only to find them full of holes?
Come along to a day of creative stitching and visible mending!

When: Saturday 11th June 2022
Time: 9:00am – 1:00pm
Duration: 4 hours
Where: Wildcraft- 75 Hickory St Dorrigo, NSW
Cost: $75 per person, limited to 15 places
Age: Suitable for 12 and over.

About the workshop:
We are fortunate enough to have 2 people to run this fun half day workshop. The first of what we hope will be many more to come. Sarah Caulton & Lyra Burghaus are both highly skilled, creative and resourceful local women. Sarah was taught by her grandmother and stitching is her happy place. She always has a quirky and challenging project on the go. Lyra apprenticed as a pattern maker in Germany and is a master of balancing function and beauty.
This is an open space for any level, with no experience necessary.

What you’ll get:
All tools & materials
Learn to plan out your project, choose materials and threads
Learn mending and assembly techniques such as darning, patching and embroidery for both function and embellishment
Light refreshments

What to bring:
A piece of clothing you’ve been meaning to get to (or a couple)
An embroidery hoop or darning mushroom if you have one
