Family History by Jenny Hawkins
Delving into one’s family history is a great opportunity to learn about social history in the place where one’s family were living. On 27 May, Jenny Hawkins will tell us about relatives who came from London and left their careers in baking and bookbinding to establish a “family” of small pubs in the city of Sydney in the nineteenth century. Why did they try this path? Was it successful?
This talk will be held at 10am in Hickory House and you should book by ringing Jenny on 0438 613 509.
